Borders & Belongs

Borders & Belongs explores identity, memory, and belonging in the context of migration and cultural displacement. Through layering, fragmentation, and reconstruction, the works reflect the ongoing process of negotiating place, attachment, and selfhood.

Combining drawing and collage, the series brings together human figures, botanical forms, and symbolic elements. Rather than presenting migration as a single event, the works consider it an ongoing condition that reshapes relationships to place, culture, and identity. Through acts of cutting, layering, and repair, the series reflects on how belonging is continuously constructed, challenged, and reimagined.
