Patched Identities (2024-2025)
This series explores the complex and multifaceted nature of identity as it is transformed through migration. Engaging transparency, reflection, and the interplay of drawing, painting, and collage, the work evokes emotional states of displacement, hope, and resilience. Each frame operates as a fragment of my journey, weaving together personal photographs with hand-drawn elements. Through processes of cutting, collaging, and painting, I construct visual narratives where human figures, plant forms, and symbolic motifs converge—revealing both the fractures and continuities of belonging. Exhibited publicly in 2024, Patched Identities reflects on identity not as fixed, but as an evolving state continually redefined by memory, place, and lived experience.
